What “hide the decline” really means
I’ve been incorrect on this point, in my assumption that Phil Jones, former head honcho at the East Anglia Climate Research Unit, was referring to the observed drop in global average temperature over the last decade or so when he admitted to trying to “hide the decline” in a 1999 email.
Said decline had actually only started at that point, and wouldn’t have really been observable to the point of being an object of concern.
So what decline was being hidden?
As American Thinker points out, the truth of the matter is actually even more shocking than just an attempt to mask a dip in observed global average temperature. Much, much more shocking. Indeed, it gets to the very heart of the now very obviously massive fraud that Phil Jones et. al. were pulling off.
