Taking the Windows 7 craze a step too far
In general, you can always count on the Japanese to come up with something…well…wacky, especially in response to technology. Case in point: Burger King restaurants in Japan will, from October 22 until October 28 (7 days, get it?) offer a Windows 7 Whopper.
And what, you might ask, does a Windows 7 Whopper look like? Hold on to your stomach and open wide:
Yeesh. That’s a heart attack waiting to happen. Apparently, this monster stands a good 5″ tall, which doesn’t sound like much, but…well…just try sticking a coffee mug into your mouth and see how far that gets you, good reader. How a person could eat the above and not feel ill to his core, I cannot begin to fathom.
In keeping with the theme of seven, the first 30 customers who buy this thing will pay 777 yen for it; 31 and up will pay about twice that. At full price, the Windows 7 Whopper thus retails for in the neighbourhood of $20 CAD.
