Back to the grind
I’ve switched back to the “version one” Wordpress app on my iPod Touch; the newer “version two” app is too damn buggy for my tastes. and when I say “buggy,” I mean “hey, why do all my revisions to a draft post get deleted if I save it locally more than once?”
Yes, I do save posts often, both because I’m slightly paranoid, and because I’m often skipping between the Wordpress app and other apps (newsreaders, RSS readers, Safari, etc.). So this “feature” tends to bite me in the ass daily, or many times daily.
So…old is the new new. I can live without some of the “version two” app’s features if it means I can trust the save function.

It was a good, if busy, Christmas with family and friends (though mostly family). If I can get my wife’s permission, I’ll post one or two of the JibJab videos I made for Grace’s family’s dinner on Christmas Eve; I was worried that people were going to either pass out or faint from laughing as hard as they were.
(If you haven’t explored JibJab’s “Starring You” videos, which you can add your own set of faces to, I suggest doing so, good reader. It can be a tad trying to put together a set of videos if you are trying to keep things on the clean side of comedy, though it’s not impossible by any means.)

You know what? Counting the recent stints in Wyoming, the Christmas closure at my workplace. and the extra days that I took off, I have spent no more than ONE DAY’s worth of time in my cubicle since the beginning of November. And by “one day,” I mean the eight-ish hours in a work day, not a 24-hour period.
One day. I went in of a couple weekend evenings for an hour or so to file expense reports and drop off receipts, and I went in for most of the day on December 18th…and that’s about it.
Strangely, I miss the place. Or maybe it’s the routine I miss. Regardless, it feels a tad strange to be on a bus bound for downtown Edmonton this morning.
Which reminds me: I need to buy a bus pass.

Pics of the Day are my update priority for the day; blogging on other topics will be lighter by comparison. But if opportunity presents itself, I’ll tweet a bunch of articles from newsfeeds and blogs, just to tide the good reader over.

My current mobile phone contract expires in October, but I’ve already been looking at options for a new phone once that time comes. Bell Mobility is offering me a $200 credit toward a new phone, which is nice…so the big, burning question I guess I need to answer is: iPhone, BlackBerry, or Android?
It’s a tough call. Bell’s iPhone packages are not great, and I’m not a huge BlackBerry fan to begin with. And as of today, Bell only offers one Android phone: the Samsung Galaxy.
Thoughts, anyone?
