These two photos are still easily the most amazing sunrise pictures I’ve ever taken. I cannot begin to describe my love of this scene, or my awe at finding this gorgeous view waiting for me when I stepped onto the balcony in the morning. The sheer intensity of the colours and the way they splash themselves over the clouds are nothing short of true artistry.

For this shot, I used a graduated filter in Lightroom to try and remove some of the lights and other details in the foreground. And it kind of worked.
