Pic of the Day #1125
I can’t remember exactly what prompted these two days of group activities, though I suspect it had something to do with a key anniversary of ATCO proper. I want to say that it was the 100th anniversary, but don’t quote me on that.
At any rate, various inter-office/inter-departmental competitions were held over the course of a few days on many floors of the ATCO Building in downtown Edmonton.
Something weird was happening with my Powershot A70 during this time, which I never figured out the cause of. You can see the symptoms pretty clearly in these shots — the odd flaring on the lights, and the purple colour cast. The weird thing was, it only happened in the ATCO Building; shots taken later on did not display this sort of…oddness.

I think the flares and purple cast add to the picture actually. It certainly adds to the figuring out what the heck is going on in the middle of the room.
I guess so; from a distance (that is: when sufficiently shrunken) things look okay (on my iPod Touch, it looks pretty sweet, actually).
Up close, the flaring is actually pretty ugly, and decidedly “digital” in quality.
