New hypothesis regarding Muslim populations
Hypothesis: where Islam is substantially in the minority, ecumenical relationships between Muslims and non-Muslims are possible. Where, however, Islam is only somewhat in the minority, and where it is the majority, ecumenism becomes impossible; Muslims will instead always opt to impose upon other faiths, possibly by violent means.
Evidence: Dearborn, Michigan.
(hat tip: John C. Wright, who adds other examples of evidence for the above)
