“Live From the White House” takes on a whole new meaning
I think it’s probably safe to say that the media prostration before Barack Obama has reached its apex. At least, I hope it has reached its apex: I’m loathe to imagine how a “news” network might further prostitute itself to the government, sacrificing every scrap of objectivity it had left, after this:
On the night of June 24, the media and government become one, when ABC turns its programming over to President Obama and White House officials to push government run health care — a move that has ignited an ethical firestorm!

But wait, there’s more:
ABCNEWS anchor Charlie Gibson will deliver WORLD NEWS from the Blue Room of the White House.
The network plans a primetime special — ‘Prescription for America’ — originating from the East Room, exclude opposing voices on the debate.
This isn’t news. This is propaganda.
I wonder where all the leftists who complained about Fox News being a mouth organ for the Bush administration are now? Will they denounce this move? One certainly hopes so, given that one can easily imagine the sheer apoplexy that would have gripped these supposed champions of media objectivity had President Bush invited a Fox News anchor to deliver a newscast from the East Room.
