It’s like a Young Earth turkey shoot

I’ve joined The Genesis Union at , which bills itself as “a place for discussion about Origin. [sic] Focusing mainly on the Creation v Evolution debate.”

The Genesis Union

The founder is a Young Earth creationist, and fulfills most of the stereotypes of the anti-evolutionary fundamentalist. Fun chap to talk to, even if I do spend most of said talks demolishing his statements point by point.

But anyhow, yeah…this union is totally a turkey shoot. I’m the most prolific commentator on it who holds a non-Young Earth position, and it really is amusing to think that I’m taking on three or four people all at once, especially since I’ve yet to break a sweat doing so.

Not that I intend to brag…but the alternative was to launch into yet another long-winded rant about the inherent ignorance of any viewpoint, religious or atheistic, which begins with the assumption of a dichotomy existing between and , or between “creation” and “.”

And really, is Thursday the day for that sort of thing?

I thought not.
