Meteor fragments found
Apparently, it landed not too far from Lloydminster.
Scientists from the University of Calgary say they’ve located debris from a 10-tonne asteroid that exploded in the skies over the Prairie provinces earlier this month.
Dr. Alan Hildebrand and graduate student Ellen Milley found several fragments late Thursday afternoon near Lloydminster, near the Alberta-Saskatchewan boundary.
They’re conducting a search to collect what they say could be thousands of fragments strewn of a 20-square-kilometre area near the Battle River.
Well, now we know!
