Being a camera buff, this sort of thing would interest me
Amazing video presentation of pictures of different cities around the world, taken from Space. And unlike other photos of the same subject — which are blurry because of a) long exposure times and b) the necessarily high velocity of objects in Earth orbit — these are very sharp and detailed, because of an innovative camera rigging system that the astronauts built out of spare parts.
I agree with John C. Wright: “One wonders why such things seem fair to the eye. It is not as if we were evolved so that there was some evolutionary advantage to being attracted to the sight of cities from orbit.”
